A richly detailed ‘atlas’ of the winelands, highlighting the chosen sites and offering salient details, accompanies these terroir wines by boutique vignerons Martin and Welma Smith. They work in the Atlas cellar near Franschhoek (Martin also vinifies the Paserene label there), striving for ‘a balance between winemaker and mother nature’. The promised red wines have been released, volumes are up and exports have begun.
