Geur: intens, zwarte kers, gedroogde vijg, chocola, ceder, anijsdrop.
Smaak: vol, stevig, veel smaak, droppig, flinke tannine.
Houdbaar: bijna op dronk, gemaakt om goed te ouderen, minimaal tot 2030
Lekker bij: gebraden of gegrilde vleesgerechten met veel smaak en kruiden. Oude Goudse kaas.

Winemaking
Only the healthiest berries from hand-harvested grapes made it into the small, open-top fermenters where they were fermented on the skins. During fermentation, pump-overs were performed twice a day to extract the ripe, round tannins and the maximum amount of colour pigment. To ensure that the fruit is the main attraction, the wine was aged in 3rd and 4th fill French oak barrels in order to limit the influence of oak-derived characters.

Tasting note
Layered aromas of black cherries, dried figs, cocoa, tar and cedarwood, while undertones of dill and rose petals add further interest. The grippy tannins lend a muscular structure and backbone to the wine. The palate is fruitdriven, with plush flavours of red currants, dried apricots, and anise seed. A lovely juicy and succulent wine with lingerig notes of ripe red berries on the finish.
