85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cinsaut

Vinification
All varieties were hand-harvested and fermented separately. Pump-over and punch downs twice a day ensured the soft extraction of tannins and flavours. The wines finished the malo-lactic fermentation in stainless steel before maturation in 3rd fill barrels for 12 months. The wine were lightly fined before bottling

Rianie: This 2020 vintage is old school in a way by blending 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cinsaut. The softer made style Cabernet Sauvignon component still adds to the structure and texture. The Cinsault brings in the softness and juiciness on the palate as well as red fruit flavours. This all together adds to the soft balanced allround feeling of this wine. “A vibrant fresh red wine with easy tannins, lots of red fruit and dark chocolate flavours. This is intended to drink with friends and talk about old times gone by.”
